Tommy celebrated his birthday today at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home and enjoyed blowing out the candles on his chocolate birthday cake.
He said he was 69 and not 96 …so we turned his candles upside down! So funny!
We all sang ‘Happy birthday!’ to him and gave him a round of applause. His family are coming in for a celebratory visit this afternoon.
Coffee morning
We’ve also had a lovely coffee morning today and discussed coins – pre-decimal silver threepenny bits.
We all learn something new every week; last week we found out that the first tea bag was created in 1920!
