We had a really great time with our coffee morning and weekly Sparkle magazine this week at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.
Lots of our residents attended and we started off by playing some Bob Marley music, as there was an article about him in the Sparkle.
Next we talked about Buckingham Palace and how some of our residents have been inside and this lead to a discussion about the Penny Black stamp and how one of our residents was a collector and had owned one – he told us it is worth a lot of money!
During the morning we hosted a quiz which involved some word play challenges, changing one word to another, and a song where you needed to fill in the gaps which was by Frank Ifield. We found the song on YouTube and some of our residents got up to dance or held hands with our staff team for a dance in their chairs. A really lovely morning was enjoyed by all.
We’ve also enjoyed some fun games of bingo with our residents, who love to win for a chance at a prize!
