Creative activities and Fish Friday at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home

Place cards and ‘What’s in the bag?’

Last week, some of our Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home residents did a great job of creating personalised place cards, with the names of all our residents on.

They coloured them in and added decorations themselves – what a great job they made of them!

We put them out on our dining room tables so everyone knew where to sit when going in for dinner.

During a break from colouring, we played a game of ‘What’s in the bag?’, when we asked our ladies and gents to put their hand in a bag and guess what object they could feel.

There were lots of surprises and everybody really enjoyed playing the game!

Flower arranging

Our lovely resident Dorothy enjoyed a session of flower arranging recently.

Dorothy used to be a florist, so she did a marvellous job of putting the stems in the vase and arranging them to look lovely.

You could tell she was in her element and really enjoyed herself!

Bird table

Some of our gents helped to make a bird table last week. They enjoyed helping to read the instructions and being on hand for the construction.

The finished table looks very smart in our garden and we’re sure it’ll attract lots of feathered visitors!

Friday fish feeling

Our Kitchen Team did us proud on Friday with some lovely crispy fish and chips which were very tasty indeed!

There were other menu choices available, but our residents do love our ‘Fishy Fridays!’
