Gardening capers and art club at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home

Gardening

A small group of our residents here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home turned their hand to some gardening last week. We potted lots of different plants and filled up all the bird feeders, including a few new ones with LED lights in them – adding some extra sparkle to the garden.

Our ladies and gents that took part said it was so nice to be in the garden, enjoying some sunshine. The plants they planted looked amazing and the smiles on all our residents’ faces were just fantastic.

We talked a lot about their gardens at home and what aspects of gardening they’ve most enjoyed in the past.

Everyone said thank you for a lovely day.

Milkshakes and puzzles

Our Hydration Trolley is a big hit among our residents and everyone enjoyed a delicious milkshake while finishing off some puzzles recently. Two of our residents who were working on their puzzles over the last few days said they had great fun!

Our residents love a milkshake!

Art Club

A group of our ladies took part in Art Club yesterday (4 July), making summery cards with butterflies; they all really enjoyed making them.

They had fun cutting out the butterfly pictures and sticking them onto coloured card. Two of our ladies also drew a picture of a vase of flowers – very impressive!

What beautiful card ladies!
