Spooky crafts
We’ve been getting into the spooky spirit recently at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home, with lots of art and craft preparations for our Halloween party at the end of this month.
We made a few scary spiders from wool and also cut out some Halloween masks, adding elastic around them to keep them on.
Our crafts also included some witches hats and themed colouring – pumpkin and trick or treat pictures which are looking great!
Everyone has done an amazing job getting all our decorations ready.
A spot of history
We enjoyed looking at some ‘This day in history’ facts together, which is always great for reminiscence and sparking conversation. Our fact sheets also included a word scramble, which our residents always enjoy.
Hair time
One of our carers, Alex, decided to use her time off to come in to Silverpoint to cut and do everyone’s hair (as our hairdresser could not visit because of Covid).
This really made everyone’s day and our residents enjoyed being pampered – thank you so much Alex!
Hydration trolley
We took our hydration trolley around our Home last week, packed with orange, apple and cranberry juices which went down a treat – we finished the lot!
