Our residents enjoyed a brilliant coffee morning this week at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home, with lots of interesting discussions between us.
We spoke about the Scottish Parliament and Iain Duncan Smith, with a lot of chat about how parliament is run. We discussed about when the Sun newspaper first started and if people liked reading it; we also asked our residents what their favourite paper was and everyone liked something different!
The Women’s Institute was also an interesting discussion topic; it first started in a Welsh village called ‘Llanfairpwllgwyngyll‘, but no one could pronounce it!
After our debates, we shared some quizzes – one was called ‘What are they studying?‘ which was all about meteorologists! We enjoyed a quiz on ‘Opposites‘ too and also one of the Sparkle’s song quizzes – this time we had to fill in the missing words to the song ‘Sweet Caroline‘ by Neil Diamond.
A fun coffee morning was had by all!
