We had a very enjoyable coffee morning this week at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home with lots of our usual interesting discussions.
We chatted about Johnny Morris and how he made animals talk, the lovely actress Meryl Streep and the films she has been in, plus the early video recorder.
With the recent summer solstice, we discussed Stonehenge and how people gather around it on midsummer night.
We also had a debate about the differences between battery and free range eggs – and some of our residents did not like the idea of chickens being in battery cages.
It’s such a good session to get everyone talking, discussing themes and socialising, and everyone enjoys articles being read aloud.
