Here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home, we would like to express our appreciation for the wonderful knitted blankets we received last week.
These were donated by volunteers from the Castle Point United ‘Kind Hug in a Shrug’ project who dedicated hours to making beautiful, colourful blankets for our residents.
The Hug in a Shrug project brings together contributions from community knitters to offer blanket ‘Hugs’ and other small comfort items, as acts of kindness for the local community. The aim of the project is to create local connections and offer a token of comfort to local residents when they need it most.
We are incredibly grateful to the volunteer knitters for their efforts which have certainly been worthwhile – as you can see from our residents’ smiling faces when they were presented with their gorgeous blankets.
