Boccia competition
Our residents at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home had an entertaining morning on Friday 25 June, when we hosted some competitive games of boccia in our lounge. We also had the music of Connie Francis that Leah sang along to, and everyone joined in while playing!
Caroline and Ivy got everyone to move their shoulders to the music while playing in their teams. They were really enjoying themselves with lots of banter!
Our winners were Bob and Caroline, who received medals with 25 points. Our new resident Jean received a medal with 17 points for second place and was absolutely thrilled!
Pom-pom making
On Sunday 27 June we wanted to see what reaction we would get from our residents to a spot of pom-pom making!
There was lots of enthusiasm for the activity and many of our residents were interested to try it, so more wool was needed and we’ll need to cut more stencils too.
Our residents are making red, white and blue pom-poms for our England Day on 11 August, as part of our Around the World with Nellsar Cruise. We can’t wait to decorate our Home!
