Every Thursday here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home, our residents enjoy our ‘Move it or lose it’ classes. The seated exercise sessions are always lots of fun and our ladies and gents love rocking to the music!
Last week we had a brilliant sing along to ‘Da Doo Ron Ron‘ and then Julie from our Recreation and Well-Being Team finished off by teaching everyone how to do the moves to the Jackson Five’s ‘Blame It on The Boogie‘ – with actions for sunshine, moonlight, good times and boogie.
Wow, our residents were amazing and when our staff came to get them for lunch they showed them their moves! Our staff joined in too and we all had such a giggle!
This week we added pom poms for extra fun and movement; everybody said what fun it had been, with chatting, laughter and smiles all around.
