We had a very interesting coffee morning and Weekly Sparkle chat with our Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home residents this week.
We talked about singer Rosemary Clooney and her catchy song ‘Mambo Italiano‘, the footballer Eric Cantona and boxer George Foreman – everyone seemed to have lots to say about him and his cheeky chappy attitude!
Spike Milligan and the Goon Show, with Harry Secombe and Peter Sellers, was also one of our residents’ favourite subjects!
We do love our discussions and everyone joined in with our quizzes. A good morning of socialising and putting forward our points of view.
Bingo and music
We had a great time playing bingo on Wednesday 25 May, with four games altogether – there were lots of winners and everyone had so much fun playing.
When we had finished, we put some music on from the 50s, 60s and 70s and then our tea trolley arrived with a nice cup of tea with cake for everyone – perfect!
