Our lovely residents here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home have been enjoying a wide range of social and leisure activities this last week. From coffee mornings to gentle chair exercises, they’ve had a wonderful time!
Coffee morning
We had a great coffee morning with lots of discussions and debates on a variety of subjects. We talked about the great train robbery, ‘ready steady go’, sewing machines, and much more. Everyone enjoyed our weekly quiz and we had a lot of fun!
Garden
As we’re getting close to the finale of the Nellsar Garden Competition, one of our residents dressed up as the Queen in our special Jubilee themed garden – she looked very regal and enjoyed dressing up. Some of our other residents also relaxed while taking tea with the Queen and they really had a great time!
Tea party
Time for tea?! It’s one of our nation’s favourite drinks so we had a lovely tea party with cream scones and cakes recently. Our ladies and gents enjoyed themselves drinking tea and eating yummy sweet treats.
Buffet
What a lovely afternoon we had with our residents this week, as we sat outside in the sunshine. We devoured a delicious buffet prepared by our wonderful Catering team – a fantastic time was had any all!
Bingo
We never go a week without a game of bingo at Silverpoint! We played three games this week with a few winners – everyone had great fun.
Gentle exercises
It’s been very hot so we took it easy while doing our gentle chair exercises. We worked on our head, arms, waist and legs – our residents all tried very hard and did extremely well.
