This weekend at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home our residents rolled up their sleeves and enjoyed a fun and relaxed baking session, creating homemade cakes topped with rich butter icing. The finished bakes were the perfect treat to enjoy while watching the excitement of the Euro Final on Sunday!
We also had the pleasure of celebrating the birthday of our lovely resident Irene. She was delighted with a decadent chocolate cake, which she generously shared with her fellow residents.
The celebration was made even more special by a heartfelt visit from three generations of her family – her daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter – who joined us to mark the occasion. It was truly heartwarming to see the different generations of Irene’s family come together on this special day; she told us it was the best birthday she’d ever had and that she felt incredibly lucky.
