We had a full house again on Wednesday 11 May for our popular weekly coffee morning here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.
Our residents enjoyed the Weekly Sparkle’s article about Elvis Presley and named quite a few of the songs he’d sung.
We talked about Tony Hancock and his ‘Hancock’s Half Hour‘ radio show, which was fondly remembered.
Discussions about spam and how rationing was during the war were also in full swing – everyone enjoyed this and reminiscing about the past together.
Bingo and film
This week we’ve also enjoyed three games of bingo and our residents would have carried on all night they were having such a good time! Our winners enjoyed choosing their prizes – well done ladies!
After bingo we put on a nice film, chosen by our ladies and gents, called ‘Out of Africa‘ which was a lovely watch.
