Last week at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home we enjoyed making flower arrangements with our residents, all ready for our up coming Hawaiian Day.
Our residents told us it was one of their favourite things to do, so it will now become one of our weekly activities.
The flowers really brighten up our Home and we love to see our ladies so enthusiastic about creating them.
And we got our tastebuds going recently, with a ‘posh jam tasting‘ session. Our residents enjoyed sampling a selection of delicious flavours including strawberry, raspberry, blackberry jelly, morello cherry and apricot. We also included marmite and peanut butter. These went down a treat, but apricot came out as our favourite (with marmite the least favourite!).
We’ve also been teaching some of our ladies to play dominoes, ready for a Pub Day we’re hosting soon.
