On Saturday 8 May we were all very excited to celebrate VE Day at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.
Doris and Lily helped Lynda from our Recreation and Well-Being Team to decorate our dining room for the event – they used Union Jack tablecloths, serviettes, flags and bunting, plus black and white photographs of VE Day, to make our Home look amazing. It took them two hours, but they really enjoyed it!
We came together to “Keep calm and party!”
Everyone loved listening to Glen Miller music, as they wore their hats and waved their flags.
Our residents in isolation were also included in all the fun, so everyone could enjoy the day’s celebrations. Good times!
