Easter fun and pastimes at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home

Easter fun

We’ve enjoyed getting into the spirit of Easter here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.

Jean has been happily stuffing some knitted chickens which were handmade by our local knitting club. The club didn’t finish the chickens off, so our residents could complete them by stuffing them to make them nice and plump for our Easter celebrations!

Our residents and staff love them and we have attached them to our Easter tree for everyone to enjoy.

Keeping with the Easter theme, some of our ladies and gents had fun with our team member Ola, dressing up as Easter bunnies. Ola let everyone dress her up and went around our Home making all our residents and staff laugh.

Knitting and a ball of fluff!

Our resident Sylvia wanted to show Julie from our Recreation and Well-Being Team how she can knit. Julie watched and listened to Sylvia’s instructions, which were very informative.

Sylvia also mentioned that in her younger days she had a dog called Harry. So Julie asked Sylvia if she would brush ‘Fluff’ our soft toy dog as his coat was very scruffy. Sylvia brushed and brushed the dog, so he looked like a ball of fluff by the time she had finished! She found this very funny!
