Welcoming Fran
We were delighted to welcome our new resident Fran to Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home recently.
Fran is fantastic at flower arranging and she and Julie from our Recreation and Well-Being Team enjoyed chatting while arranging some blooms. Fran described how her dad had a motorbike and sidecar when she was young – and she, her brother, mum and dad would all come down to Canvey every weekend.
Julie and Fran discovered that they had a lot in common as Julie had a motorbike and sidecar when her daughter was young and they had a little giggle about this. Julie explained that she still rides a 400cc motorbike and her husband has a 1300cc bike. ‘Nothing quite like it‘ they agreed!
Friendship
Alan and Ted have enjoyed challenging each other to a game of draughts recently too.
They have become good friends and really enjoy each other’s company – and a bit of competitive spirit! Lovely to see!
