We have had a nice week of fun activities here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home – from a café trip to decorating biscuits!
Café trip
On Friday 22 July we took two of our residents out to a local cafe. They had fun chatting and laughing with the locals; they really enjoyed themselves with a drink and a piece of cake while reminiscing about old times.
Bowls and dancing
Our ladies and gentlemen played a few games of their favourite bowls last week, followed by a sing-song and a dance – we were rockin’ and a rollin’ with fun!
Strength and balance exercise
We did some strength and balance exercises with a ball to help our residents strengthen their hands and they all did really well! We put some music on afterwards and had a little dance – everyone really enjoyed moving in time to the music.
Flower arranging and biscuit decorating
Our lady June and her daughter kindly took the time to arrange some beautiful flowers for our reception area – they looked lovely and smelled divine. Thank you ladies!
We also gave some classic Rich Tea biscuits a makeover with different coloured icing – decorating them with different designs; our residents really enjoyed themselves!
