Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home residents enjoy Coffee Morning discussions

We had another wonderful turnout for our weekly coffee morning with the Weekly Sparkle magazine here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.

Lots of debates were enjoyed, on many of the different articles. We talked about – Mary Whitehouse and how she complained about everything rude on the television, the difference between ball point pens and fountain pens and Laurel and Hardy and who liked them and watched their films.

We also had a discussion about nuts and vegetarian food, playing in the rain and jumping in puddles! We’re never short of a good talking point!

We did the Sparkle quizzes entitled ‘Where are they found?‘ and ‘Who wrote which book?‘, plus we had fun trying to fill in the gaps to the popular Mary Poppins song ‘A Spoonful of Sugar‘ which got us all thinking!

And our session of bingo was great fun too! We had five games, with several winners. Afterwards we put on our residents’ choice of film – the much-loved ‘Paddington Bear‘.
