Celebrating the Emerald Isle
Our residents had fun celebrating St Patricks Day on Thursday 17 March here at Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home.
We decked our lounge with bunting, shamrocks and flags and played lots of Irish music, for a real festival feel.
Everyone loved tucking in to their themed Irish lunch too – delicious!
Bingo, balloons and more!
We’ve also had our usual busy calendar of fun activities over the week including bingo with our resident Tommy calling the numbers out, and our popular coffee morning on Friday 18 March, when we had a packed room of debate and chatter.
We’ve also played balloon games, with our winner Joy managing to do 30 hits in a row without the balloon hitting the floor. Well done!
Our hydration trolley has done the rounds with milkshakes for everyone to enjoy and our lovely resident Doris has entertained us with her play piano playing.
On Monday 21 March we had a lot of fun with pom-poms and party music; our favourite dance moves came out for ‘Agadoo’, ‘The Macarena’ and ‘YMCA’ – always such good fun!
We do love a good pom pom!
