Last week, we took a group of our Silverpoint Court Residential Care Home residents out for a lovely trip to Wat Tyler Country Park.
Boasting 125 acres of country walks and wildlife spotting, the park is situated near Basildon and is listed as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the wildlife present with Hawthorn scrub, meadow and salt marsh habitats. Its attractions include a miniature railway, sculpture trail, visitor centre, refreshment facilities and birdwatching hides.
Everyone had a great time in the fresh air, admiring the views. We sat together at a picnic bench, enjoying a chat, our cups of tea and ice lollies and a spot of bubble blowing!
We enjoyed a short walk and our residents loved meeting some passing dogs and feeding the birds in the park.
What an enjoyable outing!
